Generally, the earliest and the most weather-tolerant pansy series is Panola. Each color has a tight flowering window of five to seven days and they out-perform standard medium-flowered pansies in all kinds of conditions.
The Rain series of pansies also offers the best Summer performance in the northern States and Canada, however, if you are looking for a heat-tolerant pansy for the South, there isn't really a heat-tolerant pansy for this market. Pansies have a hard time thriving in the extreme conditions of the Southern U.S.
